Johannes was born in Oudtshoorn, South Africa in 1967. He completed his schooling at Oudtshoorn High. He attended Stellenbosch University where he obtained a degree in Accountancy. At the University of South Africa he obtained an honours degree in Commerce. He joined Village n Life in 1994 after completing three years with Price Waterhouse Coopers and lives in Camps Bay with his wife Ilsebe and his three daughters, Mila, Kristi and Isabelle.
Maree was born in Quebec, Canada in 1963. He completed his schooling at Paul Roos Gymnasium in Stellenbosch. He attended Stellenbosch University where he obtained honours degrees in Commerce and Accountancy. Maree qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1992. After five years with Price Waterhouse Coopers, Maree founded the Village n Life Group of Companies in 1994. Maree is a keen tennis player and can often be found either on the court, off-road enduro motorbiking or kitesurfing.

Clive has a comprehensive understanding of the Hotels and Tourism Industry. He started his career as a trainee at The Savoy in London at the age of 19 and, for the last 28 years, he has been a Director or Managing Director of leading hotels and associated businesses, not only in South Africa, but also the UK and Cyprus.
Most recently in 2010, Clive was approached and appointed Managing Director of The One and Only in Cape Town by Kerzner International. After delivering five years of successful and profitable growth, Clive moved to Knysna and was appointed to the Knysna Tourism Board in January 2017 and as acting CEO of Knysna Tourism from 1 July 2017 to 30 June 2018.
Hannes was born in 1967 in Swellendam, South Africa where he also matriculated. He attended Stellenbosch University where he obtained B.Acc, B.Acc Honours and M.Acc degrees, all with distinction. Hannes qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1992 completing his articles with Ernst & Young in Cape Town. Hannes then moved to the USA where he joined The Coca-Cola Company in Atlanta focusing on merger and acquisitions mostly in Asia Pacific. After living in the USA for 11 years, Hannes moved back to South Africa and lives in Stellenbosch.
Chris spent the last 22 years working in and consulting to members of the Hospitality and Wine industries in the Western and Eastern Cape. His experience in the Hospitality Industry has been mainly in the 5 star market. Today he is a director and manages a company listed on the NEX stock exchange in London which owns a 5 star lodge in the Addo area.
Chris qualified as a chartered accountant in Cape Town and remained in the profession as a partner of Ernst and Young. In 1997 Chris chose to enter the Hospitality Industry by joining Halcyon Hotels as Managing Director. At the time Halcyon owned The Bay Hotel and Blues Restaurant.

Peter’s extensive experience in the hospitality industry started in 1996 when he joined Red Carnation in London. Peter was a successful general manager of two five star hotels
- The Marine Hotel in Hermanus and
Grootbos in Gansbaai.
Most recently Peter provided consulting services to hospitality companies to improve the day
to day operations.
Peter focuses mainly on the Hermanus area.
